Hi, I’m a synthetic biologist currently living in sunny Montpellier in the south of France. More than ten years ago I thought that the words ‘chortle’ and ‘harrumph’ were both amusing and fascinatingly underused parts of English diction and that it would be fun to have a blog incorporating them into the title. Two years ago, I officially created this blog, but now in 2020 I’m working to finally regularly post. As part of a series of one month challenges, my first January challenge is to post every day for the month. Topics will range wildly as the blog continues to evolve.
