#18: Adventure List

Shorter post today as we are packing and getting ready for tomorrow, but at the same time I would like to blatantly crowd-source some advice. Most people are familiar with the idea of a Bucket List, where you create a list of things that you want to do before you die or ‘kick the bucket’. But a little while ago, I came across a slightly different version called an Impossible List. The lists are similar except the Impossible List is an evolving list. So it can include accomplishments, like run a 5K; however, after you achieve it, then you cross it out, note the date and details, and then you have the option of evolving that goal (e.g. run a 10K).

I first came across this concept on Thomas Frank’s personal page, although he also took it from Joel Runyon. I’ve had Bucket List ideas before but never really created a physical one before, so I thought I would start one. At this point I will admit that it I just have some basic notes, but over the next weeks or months I will create a basic framework for my list. I think I’ll make it my own a bit by calling it an Adventure List. In that way it is a list of the adventures that I want to undertake and a record of those I have already done.

Please help me out and let me know if there are any awesome adventures that I should take on. I created a viewable Notion database with my list so you can see my evolving process. Also feel free to let me know any adventures that your have undertaken or are planning because we could all use a little adventure in our lives.
