For the first day of this challenge, inspired by another blogger’s challenge, I thought I would give a self-portrait sketch a try. That way I can do another one at the end of the month and compare. So I found an old picture and in 40 minutes came up with this:

Definitely a lot to improve on, especially in the eyes and mouth department, but at least it looks like a head.

Currently putting together resources of books, YouTube tutorials, and Skillshare classes for the month. It’s been a little while since I drew so today I practiced shapes and some basics head forms just to get into the swing of things. I think this month will be a lot of fun!
